The South Island is home to New Zealand's best ski fields, and Queenstown offers easy access to no less than four nearby ski fields. Coronet Peak, The Remarkables, Cardrona and Treble Cone are all within 30 to 90 minutes drive. With plenty of runs for everyone, from beginners to the very advanced there is enough to keep snow lovers busy. The season runs from June to October.
